Stop the Stigma- Effective Communication with Persons with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness in the Pharmacy Setting
Mental health and substance use disorders are prevalent in our society, and early intervention plays a critical role in achieving the best possible treatment outcomes. Stigma, along with societal myths, often discourages individuals from pursuing necessary care, leading many to forgo professional help. Additionally, many healthcare professionals lack the training required to effectively engage with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, which can result in minimizing or avoiding interactions. This webinar aims to enhance the comfort and confidence of healthcare providers when interacting with individuals affected by mental illness.
